چکیده

Abstract Background Repaired tetralogy of Fallot patients develops postoperative complications that are in need for follow-up and re-intervention some circumstances. CMR myocardial feature tracking is a novel method allows quantification bi-atrial bi-ventricular mechanics deformation. So our aim to assess the added value cardiac magnetic resonance imaging its advanced analysis evaluation repaired patients. Results was done with post-processing 56 healthy volunteers . The commonest following order: pulmonary regurgitation subsequent right ventricular dilatation tricuspid followed by stenosis, dysfunction, outflow tract dilatation, left aortic mitral residual septal defect. All volumes were found be significantly increased compared those ( p < 0.001) also end-diastolic end-systolic indexed 0.001). Right function lower controls. Bi-ventricular CMR-FT indices atrial global longitudinal strain atrium correlated did not correlate ejection fraction volume indexed; 0.001, 0.109 0.565, respectively. circumferential obstruction without (− 16.26 ± 4.27% vs. − 12.2 3.78%, respectively). Pulmonary regurgitant related ventricle 0.027). Conclusion Biventricular volumetric measures controls; however, parameters both ventricles

Residual problems with repaired tetralogy of fallot.

Operable Problems Pulmonary regurgitation and RVOT stenosis are anatomical complications that can be relieved only by anatomical repair including surgery and percutaneous catheter treatment.4,5 Therefore, appropriate timing of such intervention is important. However, definite criteria for reoperation are not yet determined. There were several advocated criteria for re-intervention using magneti...

Differences between early versus late correction of Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) in cardiac Magnetic Resonance (CMR)

Methods CMR was performed in 55 patients (20 male) using a 1.5T scanner. RV-volumes and pulmonary-regurgitantfractions (PRF) were calculated from standard cinesequences and flow-sensitive gradient-echo images, respectively. Scar tissue was quantified from Delayed Enhancement (DE) imaging. Patients were divided into two groups depending age at total repair (group 1≤1year, n=25; group2>1years, n=...

Vascular function in children with repaired tetralogy of Fallot.

We compared the endothelial function and vascular wall characteristics of 11 children with tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) (age 13 +/- 3 years) with the characteristics of 17 age-matched peers (12 +/- 2 years). Echocardiographic Doppler measurements were performed under standardized conditions to assess (1) the carotid and femoral artery diameter and intima-media thickness, (2) brachial artery endoth...

Progression of right ventricular dilation in repaired tetralogy of fallot

PURPOSE To evaluate factors associated with rapid rate of progression (ROP) of right ventricular (RV) dilation by cardiac MRI in repaired tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) patients. MATERIALS AND METHODS All patients with repaired TOF with two MRIs were included. RV volumes and function were assessed by MRIs performed on a GE 1.5 Tesla (T) platform. The ROP of RV dilation was calculated as the differ...

Outcome of adults with repaired tetralogy of Fallot.

Outcome of adult patients with repaired tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) was studied with emphasis on postrepair problems. A retrospective review of clinical, echocardiographic, catheterization, and surgical data was performed for 48 patients who underwent corrective repair of TOF after 15 years of age. All patients survived total repair and have been followed up from 3 months to 11 years (median 4.6 ...
